Eleven years was a pretty good run for my old watch.

I’m either doing everything or I might as well abandon all hope.

I sat outside for an hour and I feel better.

I picked a helluva week to try to motivate myself to do anything.

Another week, another broken rule.

I technically broke the Library rules with both of the books I finished reading over the last few weeks.

I am in the era of going easy on myself.

My writing has stalled a bit this month.

I find myself sitting before this Google doc draft at almost 11pm on Saturday night without a single idea for what to write here.

I wandered around the assorted stacks and shelves of unread books in my apartment, trying to decide what to read next.

The two books reviewed in this week’s missive were finished mere days apart, yet read in different years.

But the book is important enough to me that I decided it deserved its own dedicated post.

2023 book stats and 2024 hopes and dreams.

I skipped writing last week because I took myself on a self-created writer’s retreat up in Cold Spring.

I guess I should’ve known something big was going to happen.

I made a lot of good decisions from my bed this week.

I honestly found it a bit difficult to focus this week overall.

I rounded out October with a few more scary movies and cozy nights, and I’m endlessly grateful for them.

I know I’ve said this before, but it was truly a rough week this week!

October is usually when I spend my evenings watching horror movies.
