I wandered around the assorted stacks and shelves of unread books in my apartment, trying to decide what to read next.

The two books reviewed in this week’s missive were finished mere days apart, yet read in different years.

I skipped writing last week because I took myself on a self-created writer’s retreat up in Cold Spring.

I guess I should’ve known something big was going to happen.

I made a lot of good decisions from my bed this week.

I honestly found it a bit difficult to focus this week overall.

I rounded out October with a few more scary movies and cozy nights, and I’m endlessly grateful for them.

I know I’ve said this before, but it was truly a rough week this week!

October is usually when I spend my evenings watching horror movies.

I have been going, going, going for the last week, and I am somehow not yet gone.

Not very much to report this week, so apologies for the short missive!
