Welcome to the Moratorium Library!
The Library opened on May 1, 2022. It was initially born of my determination to curb my spending, save some space in my one-bedroom apartment, and read the many, many, many books collecting dust on my assorted shelves. The goal was simple: stop buying new books and finally read all the books I already owned. The blog, I was sure, would keep me honest.
Check in every Sunday for book reviews, updates and insights from my life, and a list of the books I inevitably purchased that week. Spoiler alert: I routinely break the very first rule of the Library. What can I say? I love a bookstore.
New? Lost? Start here: Opening Day (and Some Ground Rules)
Centering and Reprioritizing
My approach to NaNoWriMo—and, I expect, my writing approach going forward—has been what I call guerrilla writing.
Tire Metaphor
The check-tire light came on in my car yesterday while I was driving down the Grand Central.
It Feels Like It’s Been Raining Forever
My reading time has not felt like my own for a little while now.
The Opposite of Nothing
I know vacuuming isn’t always going to be a fix for combating negative thoughts, but I was glad to have it in my arsenal this week.
When Stars Align
It kind of makes sense that I’m having trouble clearing the hurdle of the next book.
